Welcome to Acorns and Oaks!
Hello and welcome to the Foundation stage page. We are the Nursery and reception aged children at our school; we learn and play altogether in our Early Years Unit. We have lots of time each day to explore and play but we also have short sessions where we learn our letters, our numbers, do beautiful singing and have cosy story times.
Nursery children come for 15 hours a week within a morning or afternoon session but sometimes stay all day as we offer day care sessions which you can pay for as extra.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit for your Nursery child come in and see us, we are more than happy to show you around!!
Acorns and Oaks also get times of the day where they are separate to ensure high levels of differentiation and adult focus time.
Feel free to come and take a look at our wonderful displays!!

Looking after the Environment
As part of our Environment topic the children have learnt about the harmful effects on animals and the environment if we litter. To help the animals and insects in and around school the children decided it would be a good idea if we tidied the playground so it was safe for all animals. Haven't they done a fantastic job?
Today for Red Nose Day we all completed a sponsored walk to raise money for Comic Relief. Even though it was windy and muddy we still had a great time!
