Star Of The Week in nursery is Tallulah - September 17th 2021
Tallulah has been absolutely brilliant all week, always showing that she is listening and understanding what is asked of her. Tallulah will try really hard when its "carpet time" and participate in our group learning. Whenever it is tidy up time Tallulah is always the first to begin tidying up and never stops until everything is tidy, such a superstar! Well done Tallulah!

Our superstar this week is Marlee. Marlee is doing exceptionally well with her reading and always remembers to read at home. She is so enthusiastic and can usually be found reading books in class too! What a great example you are to the other children. Well done Marlee!

This week our star is Malia.
Malia has tried exceptionally hard this week, particularly in her number work. She has been keen to get involved and contribute in group work too. Well done Malia.
Our star of the week this week is Charlie. Charlie has worked extremely hard this week during our work on halves and quarters and has shown a real understanding of creating equal groups. Also, I have been very impressed with the quality of writing Charlie has produced in his morning work book.

Our Star this week is Brianna. Brianna is making huge strides in her progress in reading and Maths. She loves numbers and calculations and can often be found creating her own sums in her independent learning time. Brianna is a lovely friend to all the children in class and her behaviour is fantastic. She always gives 100% effort to everything she does and is a great role model for the other children. This week our star is La’Shae. She has done some great listening this week and been very helpful to her friends and nursery staff. Well done La’Shae, keep it up!
This week’s star of the week is Darcy.
Although Darcy missed some of our immersion lesson on Wednesday, she has worked extra hard to find out what happened by asking lots of relevant questions and studying the phots that were taken. She has then been able to write an excellent story about the crash landing and design a fantastic rocket. Well done Darcy – you have worked very hard.

Our Star this week is Scarlett. Scarlett is making great progress with her reading and reads almost every night at home! She is becoming more fluent in her word recognition and knows most of the phonemes to blend and segment. In addition to this, Scarlett is a really kind and caring friend who can always be relied on to support the other children. She really deserves to be our Star of the Week. Well done!

Brody has been chosen as our class star this week. He is trying really hard with his initial sounds and reads every day at home. Brody is also making great progress with his number work and has done some fabulous work on halving. Well done Brody, keep up the good work!
Well done Harvey - you are our star of the week. We are so proud of the effort you are putting in to improve your reading. By reading every night at home and here at school, your reading has improved dramatically. You were also the very first student to log onto our new Mathletics program and racked up a massive amount of learning time in a short space of time.

This weeks star of the week in Years 1 and 2 is Charlie.
I have been pushing Charlie to look at how he can develop his sentence writing. Charlie has taken this challenge in his stride and is now forming fantastic short, sharp sentences in his morning work. His use of capital letters, full stops and adjectives to enhance his work.

This week our star is Delta. She is such a kind and polite little girl that tries so very hard with her numbers. Delta has also been trying hard this week in Phonics. Well done Delta.

Alfie started at Westwood this week and has settled beautifully into our Reception Class. He has made lots of friends and has had a great first week. Well done Alfie!

This week, Jack has worked exceptionally hard in his English as we've continued to write about the adventures of Funny Bones and our own story of the time they visited the 'Scare Park'
Jack has also moved up a book level this week, a testament to how hard he has been working on his reading.

This week Tommy has tried really hard with his number recognition and with his number formation. Tommy is really kind to others in Nursery and is really helpful. Well done Tommy!
This week, our star of the week is Layraeiah. She has produced some outstanding work in both English and in Maths.
In English, her extensive descriptive piece of the little boy in our 'Growing Story' was a pleasure to read, and in Maths she has really pushed herself when exploring using different coins to find the same total.

This week it is Dana's turn to be our Star of the Week in Reception Class. Dana is a real joy to teach and has a passion and enthusiasm for learning.
