Reception 2025 - 2026
Welcome to Reception!
We can't wait to learn lots with you this year! We will learn mostly in provision with some seated learning through Drawing Club and Read Write Inc phonics! These lessons will be carried out with lots of enthusiasm and excitement!
Please read daily with your child and fill out their communication diaries. Each entry will be given a raffle ticket for a prize draw on Fridays! In your diaries you also have a login for Mathletics, please encourage your child to use these too.
We visit the Library Lodge on Thursday afternoons where we can choose our own stories. Enjoy these at home and bring them back in your book bags to swap. Also on Thursday afternoons we have Talking Time! Each half term every child gets a turn to sit in the talking spot and tell us about some of their interests.
Bruce the Bear goes home with a chosen child on Fridays for the weekend. Please enjoy his games and encourage your child to write in his diary!
