Welcome to Reception class!

We are so excited to learn lots with you this year, whilst having plenty of fun too! We will be getting very busy exploring the classroom, both indoors and outdoors and we'll be doing our Read Write Inc phonics and maths daily! 

Please read daily with your child and fill out their communication diaries. Each entry will be given a raffle ticket for a special prize draw on Fridays - the children get so excited! In your diaries you also have a login for Mathletics and Purple Mash - please encourage your child to use these too.

We visit the Library Lodge on Thursday afternoons where we can choose our own stories. Enjoy these at home and bring them back in your book bags to swap. Also on Thursday afternoons we have Talking Time! Each half term every child gets a turn to share their thoughts and interests with each other.

On Fridays we'll choose a Star of the Week and Coco the koala will go home with the "star" for the weekend. Please enjoy your time with him and encourage your child to write in his diary - pictures are also welcome!
